So we brought her in and she got bigger and bigger and still no foal... Those who had said 'She isn't' were starting to look smug and even the Vet couldn't tell conclusively...(It's really tough to get them to pee on the little stick...) Then we were afraid we were feeding her too much if she wasn't and as the sunshine appeared we decided to let her out for a few hours each day...
Let me tell you... If I'd been that heavily pregnant I wouldn't have skipped around like she did!!!
So we finally came to the stage where I was saying 'I'll believe she's in foal when it arrives.' - I like to bet safe, y'know???
Well, today, my youngest neice came a yellin - 'Flash had her foal!' - so complete with attractive pink fleece pj's and fluffy dressing gown, and, erm, trainers (I'm a night writer - I sleep in okay?!) I went running round to meet our latest arrival... Now I believe she was in foal!
So we have a new baby - boy or girl? Who the heck knows... there was at least six of us on our hands and knees trying to see down low enough to give you an answer to that... Time will tell... If it's a girl she'll be May (For May Day)... a boy... Dougal (from the Magic Roundabout and the Irish comedy Father Ted - the first cos it kinda looks like that and the second cos daddy is Superted - Father-Ted, get it??) Mom is being a super Mom! And we're very proud... The mobile phone companies made a fortune out of us today... But man, ain't he/she just the CUTEST THING?????
